Car Mechanics in Peru

When I watch these people work on my car, I often can't believe my eyes. They do such incredibly stupid things. I don't know how else to say it right now. As I wrote in the summary page, I have never before wanted to cry when I watched someone work on my car. It is almost useless to try to talk to them. They get defensive. They tell me everything is okay 'Esta bien" when it obviously isn't.

I have to go back two, three or four times to get something done anywhere close to correctly.

They don't have the tools they need so they use whatever they have.

They like to hit things with a hammer.

They like to use grinders to make things fit.

They don't explain what they are doing.

They don't ask you what you want to do before doing things.

They take something apart, see that it has bad parts and put it back together with the same bad parts.

They don't tell you that you need to buy new parts. They just use the old, bad ones.

They try to make the old parts work and often damage them more, or damage something else.

They use force instead of thinking about what the problem is.

They keep telling me not to worry.
