Emotional Intelligence, War and Peace

Today is December 24th. Tomorrow is known as Christmas for much of the world. In the countries where Christmas is a part of the culture there is often a lot of talk of love and peace around this time of year. So I thought it fitting that I would ask this question today:

Does it take more emotional intelligence to win a war... or prevent one?
