SFTU or STFU

SFTU = Seek first to understand (then to be understood)

STFU = Shut the F*__ Up

One day I was making notes so I wouldn't forget something. I wrote "Didn't listen well to Dave. Didn't SFTU." Then I thought "those letters look very familiar." Then I realized they were the same letters as "STFU" .

The two acronyms offered a powerful, symbolic contrast to the way humans can relate to each other in the world. Sadly, I am afraid we see many more examples of STFU than SFTU.
