Introduction

I thought of this expression when I was writing editorial number 63 and I thought of how David Caruso likes the idea of manufacturing feelings to help reach goals. David believes that it is emotionally intelligent to try to get yourself in a mood which will help you achieve your goals. I tend to think it is more helpful to society to listen to your feelings to help you set your goals.

So I did a check on google to see if anyone else was using those two words together. To my surprise, I found 224 results.

Here is some of what I found (as of April 4, 2006)

1 http://www.gold-eagle.com/gold_digest/markus123197.html This is about finance, the gold standard etc. Nothing about feelings really.

Secondary Feelings - manufactured feelings one senses after the difficulty is solved.  For example, once a teacher realizes a student who has been hurt on the playground will be okay, she becomes angry because the child broke the playground rules.
